Industrial Design

Industrial Design is the use of both applied art and applied science with the purpose of improving the aesthetics, ergonomics, functionality, and/or usability of a product. Individuals in this field may even use it to improve the product’s marketability and even production. Some examples of products designed include cars, furniture, tools and equipment, as well as every day home and work objects. At MTC, we help you build your Industrial Design Portfolio in a way that shows the ranges you can work in and how you stand out. Our professional instructors guide you through areas like design theory, material processes and technology, drawing and graphic communication and professional practice.
Our goal is to teach you how to apply design strategies through a series of studio work. Our teachers provide direction to their students in designing projects through innovative ideas, sketches and designs. At MTC, instructors start with teaching you skills and techniques to perfect your drawing.CCI05212014_00002
