Drop Off & Pick Up
On the first day of Camp, Camp Staff will be welcoming in students from 8:30 am to 9:00 am from the main entrance. Pick-up is from 4:00 pm to 4:30 pm.

After-hours Care 4:30-6:00 p.m.(additional charge)
Extended care fees apply to each student and are listed in the Summer Camp 2014 Fee Schedule. Parents must advise of their intention to enroll in the after-care program prior to the commencement of the program. If parents have not enrolled their children in the after-care program, each student will be charged $8 per 15 minutes.   All charges are calculated on a quarterly basis.

Identification
It is important for our Camp Staff to be able to clearly identify each camper. All visitors must sign in upon arrival. If a third party is to pick up a child after camp, there must be written authority at the reception office and this should be done prior to the commencement of the program.  Telephone instructions will be not acceptable to allow pick up of the child.

Lost & Found
To ensure return of lost items, it is recommended parents label their children’s items. Our Lost & Found Box is located in the front office. MTC Camp does not take responsibility for damaged or lost personal items. Please do not send valuable items to Camp.

Allergy Alert
Nut and nut-product allergies are a huge concern as children attending camp can have severe, life-threatening allergies. To protect these children, our policy prohibits all nut products at Camp. Please do not include any of the following products in your child’s lunch:

  • Peanut butter
  • Nutella
  • Peanuts
  • All tree nuts
  • Any product which may contain traces of nuts
    (Please check contents carefully)

Medical Information
It is essential that all medical information is covered upon registration. Registration will only be processed if the Medical Section in the Camp application is complete. It is crucial for your child that we receive all previous and current medical conditions, as well as any medications they are taking.

Medication
Please provide the Camp Director with all medication your child required. All medication must be clearly labeled with the camper’s name, the exact dosage and the time it is to be administered indicated on the camper’s Registration Form in the Health Conditions section. Our camp Staff keeps all medication in the First Aid Station located in the Front Office for the purposes of student safety. Campers requiring an EpiPen must have 2 available: one to be kept at the front station and one to be carried by the child (grade 1+) or by the counsellor (if child is under 6).

Lunch
MTC Camp provides your child with delicious and nutritious snacks and lunch for Full-Day students. Half-Day students will be receiving delicious and nutritious snacks. As students will be having fun and busy days, our Camp Staff make sure to remind them to stay hydrated and may wish to bring a water bottle and extra snacks with them if they need it.

What to Bring to Camp
Please send the following to camp with your child:

1. One complete change of clothing to keep at camp (socks, underwear, shorts, t-shirt, sweat shirt and pants).
2. Running shows for safety and comfort for indoors (not sandals).
3. A filtered water bottle (labelled with the child’s name).
4.  Sunscreen bottle- labeled with your child’s name on it.
5.  Sunhat and appropriate swimwear, towel and shampoo, where necessary.

Refund and Program Change
Please note, Camp will be closed on July 1st and August 4th for Civic Holidays. Refunds will not be issued for cancellation requests.  MTC arranges instructors based on registration numbers and these can not be cancelled.  Registrants are able to substitute program choices prior to the commencement of the program and only with consent.

  • Refunds will not be issued for camp days missed for any reason.
  • All sick days should be reported for attendance purposes.
  • Additional costs will be charged where applicable for changes of programs.
